Latest Project

Hola Chicas!!!

I was  asked, by a close family friend, to assist with designing her upcoming wedding invitations and other documents. This is BIG TIME chicas!

I've designed birthday party invitations and adult-themed party flyers, but a wedding invitation is mind blowing for me. I guess that's testiment to my work...or the confidence that one may have in my work.

Although this task seems to be a challenge, I am certainly up for it. Who knows, maybe this could lead to something bigger. Who knows...only time will tell - stay tuned!!!!

EXPERIENCE & ENJOY - MY BOOKSHELF: Heart of the Matter - Emily Giffin

Greetings My Fellow Bookworms!!!

I want to start something new and informative. I came up with "My Bookcase."

I've decided to blog about the books I'm reading and that I've learned. I've always been fascinated by opening all kinds of books. I love to write and reading has exposed me to various writing styles. For me, writing allows me to fly to unknown places and reading provides the passport.

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. ~Richard Steele, Tatler, 1710

The latest book read:
Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin

I absolutely LOVE Emily Giffin's books!!!

This book was very interesting and attention -grabbing. The story highlighted two women, Tessa and Valerie. Tessa was a mother of 2 small children, married to a successful and well-known pediatic plastic surgeon. They lived in an affluent neighborhood in Massachusetts.

Valerie is a lawyer and single-mother of a 6-year old son. The two women paths crossed when Valerie's son is involved in an accident in which he has severe burns to his face and arm.

The two women's path cross by a strange series of events. Without giving too much away, the women end up sharing a common thread. Can you guess?

I highly recommend this book and the rest of Emily Giffin's book series:

Latest Inspiration...Nadashi Marketing

I was tasked to create a standout, over-the-top funky birthday invite for my awesome nephew.

Jalen is extremely interested in the Miami Heat and the "Big Three" - James, Wade and Bosh.

I wanted to capture the true essence of the Miami Heat and my nephew's swag. Instead of the "Miami Trio"- I would like to introduce the 'Miami Quad."

Lebron wasn't the only person who made a "DECISION" to come to Miami and party!!!!!!

Wisdom and Knowledge Will Keep You Happy... by C.D. Johnson

Wisdom and Knowledge will keep you from making the wrong decisions in life. When you embrace wisdom (the knowledge of God’s Word), the knowledge (the know how) will help you apply…

When we trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in everything we do, He will direct us in the path we should take. The Word of God states:

Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man that gets understanding.

Proverbs 3:5-6, 13

Patience is a Virtue...

Choosing Patience

Leo Daily Horoscope

You may feel adventurous and inclined to explore possibilities today. Perhaps you are opening yourself up to new ideas. New thoughts or life paths may reveal themselves through conversations with others or in your mind as you process your thoughts. It may serve you to consider each idea carefully today before making any decisions. While there is value in following our impulses, tempering our urges with introspection can ensure that we are making choices that are active rather than reactive. Patience is a valuable virtue that can allow you the freedom to explore all of your options; it is harder to gain that freedom when you act on the first possibility that excites you.

Practicing patience allows us to make the best possible choices. When we take time to make a decision, we have the room to examine our projected course of action from all angles. We aren’t influenced by our emotions or the circumstances of the moment and can make decisions with calm detachment. We can then take the time to explore how our lives will shift if we make a particular choice. When relevant information comes to light, we are able to incorporate these new factors into our thought process. Be patient, think things over, and collect information that applies to the choices you may be considering today, and you will make a solid and well-informed decision when you are ready.

Unemployment Blues

Today is depressing in the sense of being unemployed.

I've been unemployed since August 13th- 9 weeks now. Honestly, it's been rough and my spirits tend to dip when the day ends with no prospects. I play the game by the rules and tend to be viewed as over-qualified or under-qualified. I know that I am a valuable asset to any employer, but it just seems as if this employers market is so narrow.

I am looking and leaning on the Lord to see me through this time. It seems as if my life goes in a circle- nothing really opening up to it's full potential. I have to make the conscious effort to LET GO and LET GOD!!! I have to lean on God more so than ever during this time.

Friend, the only limits on your life are the limits you have in your mind, and God wants to do exceedingly more than you can even imagine today! He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness and amaze you with His faithfulness. But in order for Him to exceed what you've imagined, you have to at least be imagining something! Why don't you take a step of faith today and let your imagination come to life? Begin to see in your mind all the possibilities for your future. Meditate on the amazing things God has done throughout history. Let that seed of faith take root in your heart. Hold on to His promises because He is faithful. He is able to exceed your expectations and go beyond what you can imagine today! -  Joel Osteen

A Note From the Universe

Sept 14th

If suddenly and without warning, Nadia, you had absolutely nothing to worry about, do you know what the world would begin to look like?

Un-huh, exactly the same as it does right now.

Alright, if suddenly you had absolutely nothing to be afraid of, do you know what you'd begin to look like right now?
Yeah, cool as ever.

OK, OK. If suddenly you had absolutely no expectations to live up to and no one to disappoint, do you know how free you'd suddenly be?
Yeah, same, same.
Get it? The only thing that would really change is your thoughts. And you don't need circumstances or other people to help you with that, do you?

I say it's time to blow the lid off this popsicle stand!!

The Universe...

Sept. 13th
If there's something you want, Nadia, anything at all, or if there's something you need, no matter what it is, or if there's something you'd like to change, please remember that all the bells and whistles of time and space were first hewn and blown in the windmills of one's mind, long before they were ever dung or heard by hands and ears.

Whatever you dream of, live it, live it now, as fully as possible, to whatever degree you can, in your thoughts, words, and deeds. And sure enough, as day follows night, as rains fall from pregnant clouds, and as melodies float from bells and whistles, your dream will come to pass.

It's a sure thing,

The Universe...
